• .Introduction: In late 2021, we partnered with the MUSA factory to launch and produce a brand-new flat-head single-cylinder gasoline engine model, based on the “Whippet” engine designed by Edgar T. Westbury (ETW) in the 1960s. Many model engine enthusiasts and hobbyists have praised its high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding performance, leaving a deep impression on many. In response to strong demand from enthusiasts, in March 2023, we launched an evolved version of ETW’s early work—the “RED DOG” engine, reimagined based on the 1940s “Kittiwake” engine.

Cooling System: Large-area cooling fins ensure effective and adequate air cooling. An external water pump can be retrofitted for use with the engine. . Lubrication System: An integrated oil pump, wet sump, and independent lubrication system provide superior lubrication and extend the engine’s service life. . Ignition System: Features a unique oil-spill-proof oil pump and ignition breaker assembly (mechanical external ignition).
• . Material Selection: The engine is manufactured from high-quality metals, primarily aluminum alloy, brass, and steel.
• . Manufacturing Process: The engine block is produced using CNC machining, while the cylinder head and intermediate cylinders may be cast. The crankshaft is machined from a solid block of material and undergoes a hardening treatment. The custom metal piston rings are anodized or electrophoretically colored, giving the engine a vintage industrial machinery aesthetic.
